		1925 The two entrepreneurs Johannes and Johannes Marquardt found the „Specialized factory for electrical supplies and fine mechanics
		1926 Development and production of switches for the entire electrical industry with focus on radio and household appliances
		1953 Marquardt becomes the first German company to produce snap action switches
		1955 New factory in Böttingen
		1959 New factory in Tuttlingen
		1964 Production of the first modules for household appliances
		1968 Development of the first electronic systems for power tools
		1980 First special switches (rocker and snap action switches) for automotive applications
		1981 Establishment of Marquardt Switches Inc. in Cazenovia (USA)
		1991 Further internationalization and new subsidiaries in Paris (France), Barcelona (Spain) and Tunis (Tunisia)
		1996 New subsidiary in India New subsidiary in China
		1997 Start of series production of driver authorization systems and control panels for automobiles
		1999 New sales office in Detroit (USA) with focus on automotive applications
		2000 Inauguration of the new subsidiary for the business unit power tool switches in Schaffhausen (Switzerland)
